1785 Will of Isaac Lansdell of Bexhill, Yeoman:
Mentioned: Wife, Ann. Father, John Lansdell who owned and farmed the Manor of Ingrahams. Annuities, rents, property, etc., situated at the Hill in Bexhill, late occupied by Thomas Bridger, 'which I purchased among other things from William Burgess and his wife', left to Ann his wife. After decease of wife to revert to my Son John Lansdell and his heirs. Five Daughters: Dorothy, Elizabeth, Mary and Hannah receive £300 each when they reach 21 years - or marry. Three sons: John (eldest), William and Thomas [both the latter being under 21], all three expected to contribute to Mother's legacy.
John to receive barn and parcels of land known as 'The Honeys', 'which came to me from my Father John'. William, 'my second son', receives Manor Farm and land called 'Ingrahams'. Thomas, 'my youngest son', receives the premises called 'Prestons'.
Will written 1785 Feb. 6. Executors: William Duke of Bexhill, Yeoman. James Fuggle, Shopkeeper. Eldest son John Lansdell. Guardians of younger children: Wife, Ann Lansdell, William Duke and James Fuggle.
Will proved 1785 April 30.
