V. of Great Canfield, Essex, 1872-1906. J.P. for Essex. A great sportsman; rode to hounds in the tall black hat and coat of the hunting parson of earlier days. Married (1) Apr. 14, 1868, Caroline, dau. of H. Harrison, of Merton Vale, Tasmania, and had issue; (2) June 24, 1875, Albinia Frances, 3rd dau. of the Rt. Rev.
