    • The census shows her working for James Hopkins, a wine merchant, and his family. In 1861, the same merchant is named Francis Hopkins, and given the sketchiness of information in the earlier census, it seems likely that this latter name was correct.

    • Priscilla appears twice in the 1861 census - once in her employers' house in Bridge Street and once visiting a friend in Fitzroy Street, where her occupation is given as ladies maid.
